Threatening Mac Book Pro Hacked Message

Mac users are fiercely loyal to their computers. Many people now have the much sought after Mac Book Pro, but what happens if you get your Mac Book Pro hacked?

That can be both expensive and time consuming, so it’s a good idea to be on the lookout for viruses so you can avoid such problems.

Safari: Hacked

How can I tell if someone is trying to Hack my Mac Book Pro? One of the most popular ways scammers use is to go through the Safari Browser. If you sit down to surf or work, and you go to pull up Safari and you see this page, or something similar:

If you see the above screen, or one that is similar, you’re about to be scammed.

So my Mack Book Pro Hacked.  How Do I Avoid Being Scammed By This Virus?

The most important aspect is, do NOT call the phone number listed on your screen. To do so will open you up to privacy theft, credit/debit card theft, harassment by scammers, and more.

How Did This Happen?

In order to answer that question let’s look at the various things the Safari pop-up windows could say.

Just remember that no matter what they threaten or try to scare you with, DON’T CALL the numbers on these messages.

Mac Book Pro Has Been Hacked Virus

Perhaps the most aggressive message is the one telling you your Browser has been locked, while also telling you criminal proceeding will be initiated against you if the fine will not be paid.

  • It may even have a supposed fbi.gov web address on it to make it look official.
  • They then provide a number where you can call. (DON’T CALL)
  • It is on this call where they often get you by asking you to let them install malware removal software, which is what carries the actual virus and allows them access to your computer, or they ask you to pay them to remove the virus they just placed on your Mac Book Pro.
  • It may also be that there are trained operators that play on your fears, and try to get the fine from you through your credit card number.

Others have less threatening, although no less menacing messages such as:

  • Alert! Suspicious activity has been detected, your browser has been locked.
  • Alert you may have malware on your computer.
  • Some message will alert you that your Mac Book Pro Hacked requiring you to call a phone number. (DON’T CALL)
  • Other pop-up messages which urgently tell you to call their phone number (as a reminder, DON’T call) where a technician will provide you with a FREE diagnosis.

So be on the lookout for these Safari Pop-Ups. If you get your Mac Book Pro Hacked, avoid the scammers and call or contact RockStarVirusRemoval.com today!
