Encryption viruses cause panic in all those stricken by it from homes with one computer to a business with 100’s of computers.

Thankfully there is some good news for those that are infected and have no generational or offline backup system in place.

NOTE:

The following is technical in nature as decryption is fairly complicated, however, it may be the only way to get your files back.
There are many strains of encrypting viruses. As more decryption methods are released, they will be posted here.
You should have a good working knowledge and understanding of your operating system.
Backup your files and computer before attempting these methods.
